The Rainier Reading Challenge

During the 2019-2020 school year, students at Sunset will have the opportunity to participate in the Rainier Reading Challenge. This challenge - modeled after basketball's March Madness - features eight books squaring off agains one another. The premise is simple: read the books, vote for your favorite, and watch the winners move up the bracket!

The eight books squaring off are:

REALISTIC FICTION:

- Lights, Camera, Cook! (Next Best Junir Chef #1) by Charise Marie Harper

- Restart by Gordon Korman

- Front Desk by Kelly Yang

FANTASY:

- Bob by Wendy Mass & Rebecca Stead

- Spirit Hunters by Ellen Oh

- The Serpent's Secret: Kiranmala and the Kingdom Beyond by Sayantani Dasgupta

- Endling: The Last by Katherine Applegat

Round 1 voting begins in March.
