February 2021 Library update

Dear Sockeye Families,

Two things this month!

  1. NEW! I’m hosting live meet-ups for K/1 students! These are just for fun and do not take the place of asynchronous library class. They start tomorrow and run through March.

NO SIGN UPS NEEDED – simply join the Zoom on the correct day/time.

Kindergarten:

Grade 1

  • Breakfast with a Book

  • Wednesdays, 8:40-9:00am

  • Eat breakfast! Listen to a story! Say hello!

  • Zoom link (will also be on the Library Clever page):

  1. Due to Mid-Winter Break, it’s a quick turnaround to request library books for March 2021.

  • For your reader to get library books in January, please complete the book request link by this Thursday, February 11.

  • Book request form: https://forms.gle/aMj7z3WWYisHstss9 (also on the Library Clever page)

  • DID YOU KNOW: we have books in 12 languages and audiobooks! These are newer, growing collections, generously supported by grants from ISF. Interested? Make a request on the book form.

  • Books will be ready Mar 3-4 during Student Material Distribution

Need to return Sunset library books? Drop off every Mon-Fri, 9a-4p, at Sunset’s entryway.

For those observing Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, Purim, Lunar New Year, and/or Black History Month this February – may your celebrations be safe and joyous.

Thank you for allowing me to share the joys of library with you and your reader, even from afar.

Best regards,

Ms Arika
