Sent to families Dec 7, 2020:
Hello Sockeye families!
A gentle reminder: tomorrow (Tuesday Dec 8) is the last day to request library books for January 2021.
With Winter Break, the window to request books is shorter than usual. And – did you know that it takes at least 5-10 minutes to select / prep each child’s book request? And that each month, more readers are requesting books? Last month, it was over 270! This means that loads of Sockeyes are reading and growing as readers...which is AMAZING! HOORAY!!
The book request form is in Seesaw & Clever, and you can also access it here:
https://forms.gle/aMj7z3WWYisHstss9
ALSO: we have books in multiple languages and audiobooks! These are newer, growing collections. Interested? Make a request on the book form!
Books will be ready to pick up Jan 6-7, 2021 during Student Material Distribution. Curious as to what’s been happening in library lessons? Learning updates happen twice a trimester and are posted on the Sunset Library Blog (https://arikadickens.wixsite.com/sockeyelibrary/blog). To those celebrating Hanukkah, Christmas, or Kwanzaa this month, may your celebrations be joyous and safe. Thank you for allowing me to share the joys of library with you and your reader, even from afar. Best regards, Ms Arika
